Ingrian and Channel Management International Sign Distribution Agreement

Ingrian encryption solutions to answer PCI compliance requirements in Canada

 

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and GATINEAU, Quebec – May 16, 2007 – Ingrian® Networks, Inc., the leading provider of data privacy solutions, and Channel Management International (CMI), a Canadian channel management and distribution company, today announced a Canadian distribution agreement to resell Ingrian encryption solutions to the Canadian market.  Ingrian’s solutions enable robust data encryption using centralized key management to secure both structured data and flat files that reside in the data center and across remote locations. The availability of Ingrian’s technology in Canada comes at a key time when many retailers and credit card processors are facing the need to comply to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard by September 2007.

Many organizations have had their brands severely tarnished and lost millions because sensitive customer data held in databases was exposed. Furthermore, a range of security and privacy policies are dictating that just about any large organization will need to encrypt sensitive data held in databases. Visa, MasterCard, American Express have all mandated credit card encryption.

The solution provides end-to-end encryption, meaning no intermediate decrypt-encrypt operations are required as information passes between data environment elements.
